Notes/Plot Summary
Dissent is in the ranks as Dan Neale tries to impose his authority over the team. The team gets frustrated and each wanders away. Flex ends up in an altercation with a super-strong guy named Truc and gets pummeled. Flex loses her confidence and wants to go live with her mother in Florida. White Crane talks Flex into taking Karate lessons to learn self defense and regain her self-esteem. Flex approaches Truc again to resolve their dispute. Truc has no use for any reconciliation and starts the fight over again. Flex levels Truc in the rematch. The Good Guys show up to defeat Truc's friends that have by this time pulled out their guns.

This issue has completely reversed and purged all the problems from the previous couple of issues. A new story deirection and D.G. Chichester's script makes the difference. The art is strong throughout this issue.

This comic features a page of respect honoring the passing of Jack Kirby. The page reads:

Thanks for taking us all far,
far beyond the imaginary limits.
Notable Quotes: From the letters page, posting comments about Good Guys #3, Olav Beemer has an interesting speculation. He says, "When Chasm opened the box, Zack immediately thought the mentally ill would turn into monsters, which was just what happened an instant later. Somehow I feel this box is merely a battery and Zack is the one who controls the power inside, only he doesn't know it yet." This is an interesting speculation because that would make the series much more like Harbinger than anyone else suspected.

A very small number of signed versions exist with the following Odin's Cosmic Bookshelf Certificate of Authentication. Signed comics and Certificates of Authenticity can be forged, so they are not listed on the checklist.
